World Juggling Day 2013

On Saturday, June 15, 2013, members of the Lancaster Throwback Juggling Club will join with jugglers from all over the world to celebrate World Juggling Day.

The Lancaster Throwback Juggling Club will gather in Lancaster’s Long’s Park near the Amphitheater from 1pm to 4pm, weather permitting. Area residents are invited to stop by for free juggling lessons, or just to watch the jugglers practice and perform.

Jugglers across the globe will be doing likewise to spotlight juggling, and generate enthusiasm for and awareness of juggling among the general public. This world-wide event has been organized on the internet by the International Jugglers’ Association (IJA) in celebration of its founding in June 1947.

Juggling clubs from all over the world are posting their plans for World Juggling Day at the IJA web site, www.juggle.org. For more information on the Lancaster PA event, contact Susan Williams at (717) 471-6895 or williams724@hotmail.com.

Jonathan Gets to Be a Stupid Human!

Our very own Jonathan Burns recently appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman! He and Mark Hayward (check out markandjonathan.com) shared a “Stupid Human Trick” and Jonathan got to discuss the Amish with Dave.

In 2009 Jonathan appeared on the Jay Leno Show. Now if he can just get on Conan, he will have completed the late night trifecta. Can he do it? Stay tuned. Check out the video below:

The Lancaster Throwback Juggling Club Performs at the Allen Theatre

In July the Lancaster Throwback Juggling Club had their first group performance. It took place at the Allen Theatre in Annville, PA, where the group performed for half an hour before that night’s featured movie (“Larry Crowne”). For a number of members, this was their first time juggling on stage, and they did a fantastic job! The following video was compiled using footage supplied by family and friends.

Videos from World Juggling Day 2011

We had a great group show up for World Juggling Day 2011. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped spread the news! Below are two videos. The first is an overview of the Lancaster event. The second is a montage of various World Juggling Day celebrations from around the world, created by the International Jugglers’ Association. What’s that? You spotted our own Susan, Kate, Trig and Forrest in that video? That’s right you did.
